A stained cedar ceiling warms the entry porch and carries through to the covered terrace at the rear, where the shingle and white trim give way to open water.

Inside, the palette stays soft so the light off the bay does the work.

This Garden City Pool House holds a Lounge, Kitchenette, Home Gym, and a golf simulator under one roof.

Slatted wood ceilings run continuously, while marble, pale oak, and terrazzo shift underfoot as the rooms change.

It is a building designed to hold a full day, not just an afternoon by the water.

Our client had been collecting relief tiles for years, with no room in mind.

When we were designing this Den, with it’s walnut paneling and chartreuse ceiling it became obvious that the collection’s home was here, as the fireplace surround.

In the Dandelion Bathroom of our Sands Point Renovation, a hand-painted dandelion tile from Golem in Germany forms the wainscot, framed by a burgundy base, chair rail, and liner, with celadons and yellows woven through the composition.

While newly selected for this renovation, it’s a design choice that carries the home’s 1920s origins forward.

Designed for summer living along the water, this home opens seamlessly from the house to the pool, lawn, and shoreline beyond.

A vaulted outdoor pavilion anchors the rear façade, framing long views to the water while creating a place for dining and gathering.
