Just a little note. Recently I've seen Costco selling whole house generators cheaper than I can get them for. I just talked to my generac rep and he told me the way they are doing it is giving out a subpar 3 year non extendable warranty and leaving the customer high and dry after the 3 years. Just be aware that the savings on the short side might hurt you on the long run. Side note starting in March Generac will be offering a 7 year warranty on their units. Down side, there is a 1.8 increase in pricing.
