UPDATE:

After removing and repairing many old and obsolete sensors, electric boxes and intercom devices, we repaired everything, multi-layer mud application, sanded to a smooth finish, primed and changed the 4 colors with 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams Superpaint.

New hardwood flooring installed instead of carpet in this high traffic elevator area with many wheelchairs and rolling carts coming through this hospital wing.

It's not always easy to work in high traffic areas, but we've done it a lot with a solid protocol and procedure to make it easy for the employees, patients, and the medical staff including easy access for emergency care.

"The painters will fix it."

This is a common term in the construction industry, and it's true.

After all other trades (plumbing, electrical, tiles etc.) finish, they count on us to make everything they did presentable to the client so we can all call it a job well done.

We don't mind at all, we are really good at making things look better than before, and we enjoy doing it.

This is after demo, and before and after sheetrock, now awaiting city inspection.

Custom Sheetrock Work, Multi-Layer Mud, Texture Match, Sand, Prime and Paint;

After demo, and installment of new, smaller and energy efficient gas electric fireplace, it was our turn to make it look like new.

Photo 2: Measure (twice), and cut the holes for fireplace and electrical outlets, and gas line.

Photo 3: After passing city inspection, we apply multiple layers of sheetrock rock mud (compound), sand in between each layer for a smooth level finish.

Photo 4: Step 1 of texture matching. apply texture to match the existing style of texture surrounding the fireplace, and the rest of the walls.

Photo 5: Step 2 of texture matching. Hand sand until it feels and looks like the existing surrounding texture. Dust the walls, apply coat of primer.

Photo 6: First Coat, all finished in Photo 1!

This was a fun project, and quite the difference from what was an administration, mini-cubicle desk office, to an Arcade room inspired by donated games, and a few new ones for the residents of a beautiful retirement community.

Lot of repairs and prep work for a smooth, non-textured finish, so it must be near perfect before applying primer, and then two coats of paint.

Grand success! Everyone loves the addition and have been enjoying the new room with their neighbors and family members that come to visit.

We work very closely and communicate with the maintenance and residents care team, as well as all other trades involved to get these projects done ASAP since these are occupied assisted living units.

Before and after color change for this elevator and office hallway area.

We removed and repaired obsolete communication boxes and sensors during the upgrade, repaired all the holes left behind in the sheetrock, primed and painted 2 coats of Sherwin Williams Superpaint, it is my go-to for primer and paint in one.
