Responsibilities:

* Assist masons with brick, block, and stone work
* Mix mortar and prepare materials
* Assist in scaffold setup
* Carry and organize tools and supplies
* Maintain a clean and safe job site
* Follow instructions and work as part of a team

Requirements:

* Reliable and hardworking
* Ability to lift heavy materials
* Masonry experience preferred (but not required)
* Ability to accurately read a tape measure
* Must have transportation to job sites

We recently completed a restoration project on the "Old Stoney" Crook County Museum Building. Built in 1923 as the original School in Sundance, WY, Old Stoney was used for education in the town of Sundance until 1971.

The building then fell into disrepair, and after years of fundraising efforts and Grants, multiple phases of renovations have taken place.

Our scope required us to bring Old Stoney back to its original glory with the stone masonry exterior. The building was repointed using a gray rope joint in the 1950's to match architectural trends. BCI chiseled the failing rope joint away, and replaced it with a lighter, color matched, raked joint to match the original look, along with architectural precast repairs. BCI is proud to be part of the story of such a historical building here in Wyoming.
