This kitchen went from dark and dated to bright, open, and designed for everyday living.

The remodel added more storage, more workspace, and a spacious center island that gives the homeowners plenty of room to cook, gather, and entertain.

A beautiful kitchen is great. A beautiful kitchen that works better for the way you live is even better.

Finishing a basement is about a lot more than making it look good. For this project, we thought through everything from natural light and insulation to moisture protection, heating, storage, electrical and long-term functionality.

The result? A bright, comfortable space that feels like a true extension of the home.

Swipe through to see some of the details that went into this basement transformation. ➡️

A big thank you to Chadwick Mechanical, LLC and Turner Electrical for their work alongside our team on this project.

Ending the week with some words that mean a lot to us.

A successful renovation isn’t just about how the finished space looks. It’s about the experience along the way, especially when you’re living in the home while the work is happening.

Clear communication, transparency, keeping our word, and respecting our clients’ homes are all part of how we approach every project.

And when a client says they’d hire us again and recommend us to their friends and neighbors? That’s about the best way we could head into the weekend.

Happy Friday from the Broadview team!

This or That? 👀

When it comes to basement windows, which would you choose?

THIS: Angled/splayed jambs that open up the window and help spread more natural light into the room.

OR

THAT: Straight/traditional jambs for a more conventional finish.

Spoiler alert: We went with THIS for our most recent basement remodel. By angling the window jambs and sills, we were able to make the windows feel bigger and help spread the natural light throughout the space.

Sometimes, it’s the details that make all the difference.

Which would you choose? 👇

It’s all in the details. 🔨

The Broadview Construction team has been hard at work bringing this finished basement project together, and these stairs are a standout feature.

Dark walnut-stained white oak stair components bring warmth and contrast to the space, paired with Benjamin Moore’s Avalon on the wainscoting and accents for a rich pop of color.

A great example of how the right combination of craftsmanship, color, and natural wood can completely transform a space.

Stay tuned. We’ll be sharing more details from this finished basement project soon!
