🏠 Remember that conversation we have on every onboarding call? This is it.

Barre , ma. roof update. We stripped the sheathing today and found a couple of broken rafters underneath. 😬

Nobody could have seen these from the ground. Not us, not the homeowner, not the guy who quoted it cheaper.

But we already talked about this. On the onboarding call, before anything was signed, we asked permission to bring exactly this kind of find straight to them. Photos, the honest explanation, and the number, before we touch it.

So we called. They gave us the green light. Rafters get replaced today. ✅

Good news too — we inspected all the insulation while we were in there. Dry, intact, in great shape. Nothing to replace. We'll have it buttoned up before we leave tonight. 🔨

That's the whole system. We don't find surprises and hope you don't notice. We agree up front on what happens when we do.

🔨 This roof didn't fail. It was installed to fail.
We're ripping this rubber roof off today, and before it hits the dumpster I wanted to walk you through what's underneath.
The rot you're looking at didn't happen overnight. It happened because the install was wrong from day one — and the homeowner had no way of knowing. From the ground, it looked like a roof.
That's the problem with flat roofs. You don't find out it was done wrong until the decking is soft. And at that point you're not paying for a roof anymore. You're paying for everything under it. 💸
If you've got a rubber roof and nobody's looked at your seams or your edges in years — this is your sign. 👀

From Northbridge, Ma . unfinished attic space to a bright, functional great room and office! 🛠️🏠

We’ve taken you along through the framing, insulation, and board-hanging stages—and now the plaster is complete. Plastering is truly an art, so we always leave that work to the professionals. A big thank-you to Shore Contractors for another smooth, flawless finish. They’ve never let us down! 👏

This was a labor-only project completed by myself and my son—approximately 60 hours of framing, insulation, and board-hanging work. Our portion of the project is now complete, and the homeowner will take it from here.

We’re proud of the progress and grateful to have been part of the transformation. We’ll see you on the next one! 🔨✨
