"Courage & Sacrifice"
On Memorial Day, we remember those who fought and died on behalf of our nation. Their lives modeled courage and sacrifice far more than comfort and convenience. Reflecting on these men and women gives us pause—are we willing to display the same selflessness to protect freedom and liberty for the next generation? I believe we are. It will take intentionality on our part and a willingness to humbly ask the Lord for His help and guidance.
Let's Pray:
"Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom and liberty to gather and worship You. We are grateful for the high price our armed forces have paid to secure that freedom, with so many having courageously sacrificed their lives. We remember and honor them today and ask You to comfort and bless the generations they left behind to continue their legacy. Forgive us for when we have taken our safety and security for granted. May we always remember these brave men and women, and may we never forget their sacrifices.
We also remember our present military, law enforcement officers, and first responders who stand watch on our behalf, running toward danger to protect us. Thank You for their lives and families—for their sacrifices, courage, boldness, and willingness to stand up for law and order so we might be more secure. We ask You to protect them. Shower Your blessings upon them, provide for them, and bring joy, contentment, and fulfillment to their lives. Teach us how to value, respect, and encourage them. Lord, we ask for leaders at every level of our nation who will support those standing watch on our behalf. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen." 😇🙏😉👍
