Bees are swarming right now 🐝

If you see a cluster like this out in the open (trees, bushes, low to the ground), they’re typically just passing through and will move on within 3–5 days... assuming it’s safe and you’re okay/comfortable waiting it out.

But if you see bees going in and out of your home or structure or some other covered area e.g. sprinkler valve box or shed floor… that’s different. That means they’ve moved in and they've set up housekeeping and they don't plan to leave on their own.

Don’t wait that one out. Give us a call.

🐜 How We Treat Subterranean Termites — From Discovery to Long-Term Protection 🏠

Subterranean termites live underground and enter homes quietly from below. That’s why effective treatment isn’t a single step — it’s a layered process designed to stop them now and protect the home long-term.

Here’s what you’re seeing in these photos 👇

🔍 Inspection
We begin by identifying signs of activity, such as mud tubes, which show where termites are traveling and gaining access to the structure.

🛠️ Trenching & Treatment
We trench along the foundation and apply a professional-grade termiticide directly into the soil.
This step:

Eliminates active infestations

Stops termites at known entry points

Creates a residual protective barrier around the home

🧩 Bait Station Installation
We then install subterranean termite bait stations around the property.
These stations don’t draw termites toward the home — they intercept termites already foraging underground. Instead of finding the structure as a food source, termites encounter the stations first and feed on a bait that is carried back to the colony, ultimately collapsing the colony at its source.

🔁 Ongoing Monitoring & Maintenance
We inspect and service these stations at regular intervals to ensure bait is fresh and protection remains in place if termite activity ever returns.

✅ Inspection + Trenching + Bait + Monitoring
= Control, Protection, and Warranty-Backed Peace of Mind

This approach resolves current activity and helps protect the home from future termite invasions — not just today, but for years to come.

Termite Tip for Homeowners 🏡🐜

This video, shared by our termite inspector Chaz Harris, shows a common issue we find during inspections:
👉 an AC condensation line dripping nonstop, keeping the soil next to the home saturated.

Why this matters 👇
💧 Subterranean termites rely on moisture to survive.
Constantly wet soil creates ideal conditions for them to thrive underground and quietly move toward your foundation.

A few simple prevention tips:
✔ Redirect AC drain lines away from the home
✔ Fix leaks or irrigation overspray
✔ Keep soil near the foundation as dry as possible
✔ Walk your property occasionally and look for moisture issues

Small fixes can make a big difference when it comes to termites — and other moisture-loving pests.

Pigeons and swallows may look harmless, but when they nest under solar panels or along your roof, they create mess, noise, and costly damage. Left unchecked, their droppings can ruin surfaces and even impact your solar efficiency.

At Spark Pest Control, we provide humane bird removal, sanitize nesting areas, and install barriers that keep your panels and roof protected for the long term. Our exclusion systems are discrete, effective, and designed to prevent birds from coming back.

Protect your investment and your home’s curb appeal with Spark Pest Control.

I found a large bark scorpion on Friday. It’s a good reminder that pest activity doesn’t stop when the weather cools down.

Even in Arizona, where winters are mild, pests don’t disappear — they slow down and shift where they hide. Scorpions, spiders, and other pests often move deeper into cracks, block walls, and under slabs, staying protected until temperatures rise again.

Keeping up with pest control through the winter helps reduce populations before spring, keeps barriers active, and makes the summer months much easier to manage. Preventing problems now is always better than reacting to them later.

Hearing scratching in the attic? Finding droppings in the garage? One rat or mouse can quickly turn into a serious infestation.

Spark Pest Control goes beyond basic trapping. We sanitize, remove nesting material, and seal off every possible entry point. That’s how we stop rodents from making a comeback. Common hotspots like attics, garages, and wall voids get our full attention.

We believe long-term protection beats quick fixes. With Spark Pest Control, you can rest easy knowing your home is clean, secure, and rodent-free.
