A BIG Thank You for the thoughtful Recognition from St Louis County Youth In Action! Our Mesabi Bituminous Family is very proud to sponsor a program that encourages and promotes leadership by getting our area students involved in school and community projects!

If you aren't familiar with the Youth In Action Program we encourage you to check it out! Their Mission is to encourage and support our youth development and community programs and projects! Their program is available on the Iron Range for students in grades 7-12! Their goal is to bring positive change to the Iron Range and St Louis County through partnerships with students, schools, community organizations and businesses! We encourage you to get involved and check out the great things they are doing!

Mesabi Bituminous Inc. took delivery of its Komatsu PC238USLC excavator rental with a Quadco Inc. mulching head this week and wasted little time getting it into action clearing brush at the IUOE Local 49 Union Hall in Virginia, MN.

"The PC238 was a really nice, smooth machine. Fast and smooth hydraulics made for great performance mulching trees. The mulcher did a neat job mulching down trees. The 238 had plenty of hydraulic power to run the mulcher efficiently, while also allowing other movements. The easy control from the rocker switch for the mulcher also allowed for effective control and handling when switching the mulcher on and off quickly," said Operator Tom Nemanich, Jr.
