“Aren’t coated garage floors slippery?”

Sometimes.... if they’re done wrong.

A properly installed full-flake floor has texture built into the surface, and additional traction additives can be added where extra grip is needed.

The goal isn’t to make a floor “slip-proof.” No honest contractor should promise that. The goal is to build the right amount of traction for how you actually use your garage, patio, or workspace. Before you pick a floor based on how shiny it looks, ask what’s being done for traction.

Want even more traction? TRM offers SparkleTuff™ Anti-Slip as an optional additional clear coating. Instead of simply sprinkling grit into the topcoat, SparkleTuff is a separate two-component coating with traction aggregate built into the system. It’s designed to improve traction in wet and dry conditions and changes the floor from a high-gloss finish to more of a semi-gloss look.
