Lots to update you on, but I want to take a second to focus on this bathroom we’re currently working on. This shower is only 5 years old. The home owner had to clean it constantly to keep mold at bay. That is always sign number 1 of a bad tile job. Her shower floor was marble which is finicky but most of what we’re seeing here was a sign of a bad tile job and improper waterproofing. Demo started last week. What we’ve uncovered has been one of the most shocking jobs we’ve seen. Bad choices all around from the tiler (and the plumber) who did this job. Not all subcontractors are created equal! Hire a contractor who preaches about proper techniques and codes. And I’m preaching to myself here too. I had to learn this the hard way as a contractor. I hired one tiler once who came highly recommend. He messed up a shower pan install. I paid out of pocket to fix it because he refused to accept blame. I’m hyper about waterproofing for a reason. It will save us all in the long run.

A SOLD listing that I remodeled and staged. It went under contract within 3.5 months, which is phenomenal for a listing at this price point in Memphis. The new owners are getting a beautiful home. Congrats to all involved.

Condo renovation in Germantown for a
client with a love for the color purple. This client was left with bare bones following a leak she had previously. I was commissioned to transform the space from a half bath and utilty closet into a full bathroom. Her main request: no grout, so we installed a top of the line shower enclosure and LVT flooring. Additionally, improvements were made to the laundry area by installing an all-in one washer/dryer unit, complemented by a stained wood countertop and extra storage. We even repurposed a vanity for her that was saved from another job site. Happy client, happy contractor.

My first paint consult in FLORIDA. Along with the paint consult came recommendations on where the trim color should be applied. Example: I wanted the bay window and the upper balcony (including the area above the balustrades/columns) to be all trim color. They mostly obliged, which is fine bc there wasn’t a wrong way to do it. The clients were so tempted to go with the exact same colors as before…change is hard. Fortunately photoshop allowed them to see my vision and better trust the process. We all love the end result.
