Then there’s that original brick. 😍

Rather than covering it up, we let it become a focal point, adding warmth, texture, and a sense of history that keeps the newly renovated kitchen connected to the character of the home.

Adding square footage inside affects how the exterior looks, too. 🏡

For this home addition, we didn’t want the new space to look like it was simply tacked onto the original house. The exterior was carefully redesigned to make the addition feel like it had always been there.

We extended the roofline, added a new gable, incorporated windows and siding that complement the existing home, and carried the brick detail along the foundation to help tie old and new together.
