In this segment from the Village Home Show we tour a rural Illinois kitchen remodel that included wall removal and a totally new layout for the space. The completed start to finish remodel by Village Home Stores now showcases an open concept kitchen, dining, and living room space. Featured in this tour is a large single-level island with overhang for seating and a hidden walk in pantry area.

Finishes featured in this tour include: Koch Classic Cabinetry in the Savannah shaker style door and a Black painted finish. Vicostone Graylac quartz countertops, Lavaliere Intertwining Arabesque mosaic backsplash tile, KitchenAid appliances, and Coretec Tyro Walnut LVP flooring also featured.

Kitchen design features Wynnbrooke Cabinetry Gateway door in Pewter and Shoji White painted finishes. Walk in pantry cabinets are from our Koch Classic line in the Savannah door and Shoji White paint. Loxley series Satin Bronze handle hardware from Jeffrey Alexander installed on all doors and drawers. Kitchen countertop surfaces and full-height backsplash behind the range from MSI Surfaces Q Quartz in the Calacatta Prado design with Mystic Gray installed in pantry. When clients ask how much clearance they need for a pathway in a kitchen, there really isn't one correct answer. It is a bit of a story problem. The answer for your kitchen project involves consideration of:

-What are the work zone areas where someone may be standing in that pathway?

-How much overall space is available?

-Are there one, or more appliance doors that may need to open?

-What is the traffic like for users in that path on a "normal" day?

-What is the traffic like in that path when you entertain?

-Could a counter-depth refrigerator or a change in cabinet depth improve traffic function more than storage function?

This custom metal-banded range hood is the moment is it not?

Sharing some more looks at it because we know someone else out there may be inspired to include something similar in a project with us.

We had this hood built and painted locally by our friend Dusty Smith and then tagged in Rob at Southwick Machine + Design to add the metal banding. The finished look is next level!!!

Start to finish bathroom remodel in Bettendorf, Iowa by Village Home Stores. Featuring Bertch Bath cabinetry in the Reedlyn style and Cherry Java finish with tall wooden legs. MSI Q Quartz counters, Golden Lighting, Paramount Bushkill Falls LVT flooring, and Brighton Gold shower tile with niche also featured.
