Happy 13 year work anniversary to Rachel Tingley on our kitchen and bath team! Rachel has over 33 years of kitchen experience and she has had her hand in countless kitchen and bath projects all around our region in that time. We are so thankful to have her expertise at Village as our kitchen and bath remodeling business continues to grow and grow. She has also helped to contribute to content for our TV show and online profiles. Thank you Rachel for all that you do for Village and our customers.

Does your oven from Village Home Stores have an “Air Fry” or “Air Bake” option? This recipe we spotted in the Maytag booth is a great way to use it and would make a really good treat to bring to a 🏈 tailgate or Labor Day gathering:

INGREDIENTS: Package of Oreos, 1-2 tubes of crescent rolls, powdered sugar for dusting.

DIRECTIONS:
-Preheat your oven with Air Fry or Air Bake setting at 350 degrees.

-Roll out crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and press together any perforated cuts that may be I dough to keep a large sheet shape instead.

-Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut squares that are aprox 2-3” each edge. The goal is enough dough to blanket the Oreo and tuck edges together underneath. You can use an Oreo in place as a guide as you cut.

-Place a cookie on each square and then bring dough up over edges and wrap like a present.

-Place wrapped cookies seam-sides down onto parchment lined cookie sheet.

-Bake cookies 10-13 minutes or until dough is golden brown.

-Remove and let cool before dusting with some powdered sugar for serving.

In this segment from the Village Home Show we tour a Geneseo Illinois kitchen remodel that included removing a corner sink layout. The completed start to finish remodel project by Village Home Stores now showcases an open kitchen design and two great new pantry areas.

Features of this tour include: Midland Cabinetry in the Pioneer recesed shaker door and a combination of painted Shoji White wall cabinets with Maple bases and pantry cabinets in a Cashew stain. MSI Calacatta Prado quartz counters, a Kohler smart-divide Vault 33 sink, Whirlpool appliances, and Paramount Rigidcore luxury vinyl plank flooring in Graciano also featured.
