They finished rocking the outside last week. We got sprayed for pest control Monday. Tuesday we got spray foam insulation. Wednesday and the rest of the week we’re spent finishing up odds and ends. Thursday they delivered roll insulation and Sheetrock. Friday they started putting up roll insulation on inside walls for noise barriers. Also had a couple guys come out to give quote for gutters. Today we will finish interior insulation and anything else that needs done before crew comes to hang Sheetrock Monday. Also have to bring the antique sink cabinet and stove up to the house. A fellow Chambers stove lover/refurbisher has graciously offered to stop by Sunday to look over Dovie Alice and make sure she won’t blow up the house. 😆. Busy week, busy weekend; we all can’t wait until we can make this house into our home! She’s been built with love and I pray she’s always filled with love.

I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks cause we’ve been busy and it’s hot! But work has continued on our house. We’ve been rocked! Well they’re still working on the other end but I couldn’t wait. Feast your eyes on this 😍. Still got cedar trim work to do but she’s getting prettier by the day.

Had a lot going on this week! The plumbers came and finished up what they needed to for now. Gas guy put in gas lines. A/c guys came back and finished running ductwork. We’ve got two loads of sand, a couple piles of rocks, and mortar and we picked up two pallets of brick for trim so we’ll be ready for Juan who should start Tuesday. We got shingles Thursday and the roofers got the front roofed today! I don’t think I could love it more! Pictures do not do it justice. Y’all gonna have to come look for yourselves!Gonna look so good with cedar trim and cedar porch posts. “Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Well this last week we got all the outside painted, cedar drip edge stained and put up, a/c ductwork started and more electrical ran. Hopefully we can get that wrapped up this week plus get the plumber back to finish their odds and ends so we can get an inspection and proceed to insulation and Sheetrock. Outside should also be rocked next week.

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m in love with our paint color 😍. Pictures look more blue than in person color. It’s a beautiful teal. Gonna look so good with our rock & dark cedar trim and teak roof! It’s starting to get exciting, everything until now is important and essential but the “pretty stuff” is way more exciting 🤩
