Before any digging begins, call 811 and wait for the appropriate utility responses and markings.

Once work starts, continue paying close attention to the conditions underground. If markings are missing, something does not match the location information, or there are signs of an unidentified utility, stop work and have the area checked before continuing.

Safe digging is more than one phone call. It means confirming the responses, respecting the markings, excavating carefully, and knowing when to stop.

Call 811 before you dig. Every time.

This Belmont homeowner had no idea two active leaks were hiding beneath her home.

Her exterminator happened to notice water spraying from multiple pipes in the crawl space and encouraged her to have the problem checked. Jeffrey was able to get there that same day and found one leak at a brass PEX fitting near the well expansion tank and a second pinhole leak in a copper pipe on the other side of the crawl space.

Jeffrey shut off the water, repaired both leaks, restored the water, and checked the area to confirm there were no additional leaks.

Crawl space leaks can be easy to miss until they cause noticeable water damage. This homeowner’s story is a good reminder to pay attention when someone working around your home spots moisture, dripping water, or anything else that does not look right.

Sometimes the biggest plumbing problems are the ones you can’t see.

It’s Technician Tuesday, and today we’re introducing Jay!

Jay’s favorite part of the job is simple: helping people. He enjoys every type of service call because each one brings a new challenge and another opportunity to help a customer.

One thing Jay always wants customers to know is that they’ll get the truth from him.
“I believe in being honest and straightforward so you know exactly what’s going on and what your options are.”

Outside of work, Jay enjoys fishing and grabbing a meal at El Cancun Mexican Restaurant. He says he’s pretty much an open book, so there are not too many hidden fun facts to share!
