ACT is hiring.... again. If you love summer and can handle the heat, we have an opening. Includes spa treatments in hot humid attics, wonderful sun soaked rooftops with days you'll think will never end. No time for drunks, drug users, can't find a babysitter, my grandma died...again, car won't start, playing games all day on your phone, already know it all so ain't listening, need next week off for vacation lazy persons. We do have options, just show up and make a check or show up, apply yourself, learn the trade and start a career.

We originally started this business as ACT Service. We have continually received calls regarding tires, auto parts, trucking freight and multiple calls about VW parts. Should have listened to my wife in the beginning when she said "who's going to know what service is?". We have not been listed under Air Conditioning or Heating in the phone books but still we stay busy. Well, I pulled the trigger today and we have officially changed the name to ACT Heating and Air. I believe it will all turn out to be a good decision and clarify what we do.
Summers about here, stay cool...

The old song says "if we make it through December " and it's about over. Texas has been recording record highs lately but rest assured, the cold is coming. As we reflect on 2016 we are grateful for our customers and friends and are honored to be their service provider. ACT Service is now in our 14th year and we are blessed to be in good health and be able to do what we love to do. Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and we look forward to continuing relationships with the greatest customers in Texas in the New Year. God bless and thank you for the opportunity to serve.

2016 has so far, been an interesting year with the weather. Tornado damage, hail damage and lots of rain. It has been long said in Texas, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change. Every year we are told " we will have record breaking high temperatures this year due to......". Welcome to Texas where the weather is best predicted by stepping outside and looking for yourself.

We are now officially in November. Where did this year go? Cold weather is on it's way and before you turn on the heat, remember to have it serviced. Having your heater serviced will guarantee efficiency and safety for your family.

We have been to 3 second opinion calls this week, where an HVAC contractor has told the customer that the unit was dead and needed replacement, and found minor repairs had the unit up and cooling. Every year these folks come out of the blue and deceive good people. Always get a second opinion. Today's customer went from a $5500 quote to a $86 service call and disconnect replacement. Stay cool....

Customer said "it seems to be struggling to keep up ". Have your systems serviced, twice a year, in the spring and in the fall. A clean and properly serviced system saves money and adds years to the life of the unit.
