Another project completed in Mount Olive!

A septic sump pump failure caused wastewater to back up and overflow into the basement’s living space, resulting in extensive damage and contamination. After the affected areas were properly cleaned and removed, we began rebuilding the space.

We replaced the damaged drywall, baseboards, vanity, toilet, shower pan, shower walls, faucets, and carpet. We then gave the entire basement a fresh new paint job, leaving it clean, restored, and ready to enjoy again.

From a major septic backup to a completely refreshed living space—we’re proud of the transformation!

Not every renovation starts with paint colors and finishes… sometimes it starts by rebuilding the foundation of the home.

This 1920s farmhouse in Hanceville came to us with four small rooms, sagging floors, broken and damaged floor joists, and structural issues that had developed over the last century. Before we could create the homeowner’s vision, we had to make sure the home was structurally sound for the next 100 years.

Here’s what we’ve completed in Phase 1:
✔️ Removed all carpet, subfloor, damaged floor joists, non-load-bearing walls, and wall coverings on the load-bearing walls.
✔️ Installed a new v***r barrier beneath the home.
✔️ Added permanent screw jacks under the main beam to support and level the structure.
✔️ Installed all new floor joists on 16” centers with joist hangers.
✔️ Installed brand-new subfloor throughout.
✔️ Built temporary support walls so we could safely remove and rebuild the main load-bearing walls.
✔️ Framed the home’s new layout with walls in their new locations.
✔️ Laid out the electrical for the electrician.
✔️ Finished with a thorough cleanup so we’re ready for the next stage.

The transformation is already incredible, and this is only the beginning. It’s rewarding to take a home with so much history and give it a solid foundation for its next chapter.

Phase 1 is complete. Now it’s on to Phase 2!

🏡 From 2 Bedrooms to 3… and a Whole Lot More Value!
This Center Point home started with an awkward layout that didn’t fully utilize its space. Our client’s goal was to boost the home’s value before putting it on the market, so we stepped in to transform it into a functional 3-bedroom home.
Here’s what we accomplished:🔨 Removed an existing wall and eliminated a walk-in closet to improve the layout.🛠 Constructed new bedroom walls and added framed closets for each room.⚡ Restructured the electrical system and added new outlets throughout the home.🚿 Re-plumbed the entire house after previous criminal activity resulted in all the copper being removed.🎨 Applied fresh paint throughout the entire home.🏠 Installed new flooring for a clean, updated look.
Sometimes the smartest renovation isn’t about adding more space—it’s about making better use of what you already have. This project enhanced both the functionality and overall appeal of the home, helping increase its market value for potential buyers.
If you’re preparing to sell and want to get the most out of your home, Ironwood Renovations is here to help with strategic upgrades that make a difference.

💧 Hidden moisture damage isn’t always visible… until you open the wall.

We were recently called to a basement in Gardendale to investigate moisture intrusion. What started as two damp walls quickly revealed a much bigger issue. After opening them up, we found that the moisture had been there for a long time—several of the wall studs had completely disintegrated from years of water damage.

Our team got to work by:
✔️ Demoing the damaged walls
✔️ Rebuilding the wall framing
✔️ Applying Drylok to help protect the masonry
✔️ Installing a v***r barrier
✔️ Hanging and finishing new drywall
✔️ Priming everything so it’s paint-ready

The result is a solid, properly rebuilt wall that’s ready for the homeowner to finish with confidence.

If you’ve noticed musty smells, staining, bubbling paint, or damp basement walls, don’t ignore the warning signs. Catching moisture issues early can save thousands in structural repairs down the road.

Another project wrapped up today in The Narrows!

Our team completed a full fence restoration and staining project using Cabot Semi-Transparent Stain in the color Desert Sand. Before applying any stain, we thoroughly washed the fence to remove dirt, mildew, and debris, ensuring the best possible finish and long-term protection.

We also replaced several damaged posts, carefully masked the home’s exterior and all metal components, and prepped the entire fence for a professional spray application.

The result is a beautiful, refreshed fence that enhances the property’s curb appeal while helping protect the wood from the elements for years to come.

Thank you to our clients for trusting Ironwood Renovations with your home improvement project!
