One of the most common questions we get this time of year is:
"What happens if it rains after my lawn treatment?" π§οΈπ±
The good news is that most of our lawn applications only need time to dry on the leaf surface before rainfall or irrigation occurs.
With the temperatures we're currently experiencing, that drying period is often around 30 minutes, though it can vary depending on humidity, cloud cover, and weather conditions.
Once the application has dried, rainfall or irrigation typically will not wash away the treatment. In many cases, water can actually help move certain products into the soil where they begin working at the root level.
Because of this, a second application is usually not necessary simply because it rained later that day.
In fact, reapplying products that are already present can sometimes place unnecessary stress on the turf and may increase the risk of temporary discoloration or injury. More product does not always mean better results.
That's why our team carefully evaluates each situation before recommending additional treatments. We want your lawn receiving the correct amount of product, not too little and not too much.
So if a shower pops up a few hours after your service, don't panic. βπͺ
Your lawn is still receiving the benefits of the treatment, and in many cases that rainfall can actually be beneficial.
Of course, if you ever have questions or concerns about a recent application, we're always happy to help.
