Labor Day was built for trades like ours.

Our crew spends summer on hot roofs and winter in cold mechanical rooms, so offices stay comfortable, warehouses keep product, and shops keep working. Today they get a day off, and they sure have earned it.

To every tech, installer, welder, driver and helper out there, and to ours especially, thank you. We hope you enjoy a well deserved day relaxing with family and friends and getting some much needed R&R.

Nobody finds out their heat is broken in September. They find out at 6am on the first cold morning, with the house at 54 degrees.

Six things worth twenty minutes this weekend: run the heat on a mild day, put in a fresh filter, clear two feet around the outdoor unit, test your CO and smoke alarms, reset the thermostat schedule, and seal the drafts you already know about.

Number one catches almost everything. If it runs rough, smells hot, or does not light, that is a repair now instead of an emergency in November.

Some of the best coworkers have four paws. She never complains about meetings and is always ready to boost morale (especially if treats are involved)!
