It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime team member, Albert Murphy.

For 19 years, Albert was an invaluable part of the Pettis & Copenhaver family. There was never a task too big or too small that he wasn’t willing to take on. More importantly, he never simply completed a job—he approached every project with exceptional craftsmanship, pride, and attention to detail.

Albert was far more than a dedicated and faithful employee. He was a trusted friend, a steady presence, and someone who made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

His legacy will live on in the homes he helped build, the work he took such pride in, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

We extend our deepest condolences to Albert’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever a part of the Pettis & Copenhaver family.

Rest easy, Albert. Thank you for everything.

For my family, it’s the kitchen.

It truly is the heart of our home—the place where every day begins. Warm coffee is brewing, cold Alani’s are in the fridge, and breakfast is waiting. ☕️ 🥞

It’s the first stop when the kids get home because they know there’s a cold Sprite (or Maelynn’s favorite coconut water) waiting in the fridge. It’s where conversations happen, memories are made, meals are shared, and impromptu dance parties break out. 💃

If I’m being completely honest… there are probably more dance parties than homemade meals around here. 😂🫢

As an interior designer, I love creating beautiful spaces. But what I love even more is designing homes that are truly lived in—where laughter echoes, little feet run through the halls, and every room tells part of your family’s story.

Now I want to know… what’s the heart of your home? 🏡✨
