❄️ Winter is tough on your plumbing! Here’s why leaks are more common during colder months:

Frozen Pipes: As temperatures drop, water in your pipes can freeze, causing them to expand and and break. (As they did with this customer's hose bibbs)

Increased Water Pressure: When pipes freeze and thaw, it can put extra stress on joints, leading to leaks.

Condensation: Cold temperatures outside and warm air inside can create moisture buildup around pipes, causing them to corrode over time.

Did you know your home’s plumbing system might need a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV)? 💧

A PRV is designed to regulate the water pressure coming into your home, preventing it from becoming too high and causing damage to your pipes, fixtures, and appliances. We recommend our customer's homes maintain a water pressure between 60-65 PSI.

Frozen hose bibbs (outdoor faucets) like these are a common sight during this extreme freeze if you haven't winterized them. Remember to insulate these outdoor faucets and heat any exposed pipe to avoid freezing and further damage.
