Painting can look simple—until the mistakes start showing.

Visible roller or lap marks, poor surface preparation, and using the wrong primer or paint can all compromise the final result. And correcting those issues later can cost more than doing the job properly from the beginning.

If you’re taking on a painting project yourself, focus on the basics: prepare the surface correctly, use the right products, and respect drying and recoat times.

"Carlos took the time to come out and look at the project (painting laminate kitchen cabinets), provided a detailed description of the steps involved, and got us on the schedule immediately because we had a tight timeline. Kevin was very accommodating when we had to reschedule at the last minute due to a plumbing problem. The painting team, Brandon and Adner, were professional and pleasant. They did an outstanding job protecting the kitchen and applying a perfectly smooth surface to all the cabinets. Ubaldo also did a good job putting all the cabinets and drawers back together at the end. He also put some tiny finishing touches on the paint job to make it perfect. Their quote was not the lowest by any means, but it was worth it. I recommend them all."

Not every project is simply about applying a new coat of paint.

This home requires restoration.

Before we can think about the final finish, the existing surfaces need to be brought back to a condition where they can properly receive paint. That means more preparation, more attention to detail, and a process designed to restore—not just cover.

This is only Phase 1 of the project.
