GETTING CAUGHT UP on photos and Slack messages from our inspection team while recovering. I thought this was timely based on my back issues. Check out what Aaron found in an attic. This beauty came up from under a recessed light housing. YIKES! Now that has some series backbones... I would guess 170 vertebrae!!!
SEVEN DAYS IN.... out and about - well out in the yard with my walking sticks, coffee and back support. Yeppers got the JPs on! Thank you all for checking in. Very humbling experience. So I'm off the muscle relaxers and steroids. I'm only on Advil now!!!! This is great. Thanks everyone!
DOWN BUT NOT OUT... Well this past Monday was well, not what I had planned. My back went out again while trying to bring office materials from my home office into our Top To Bottom Services (TTBS) office. Thank you to my team at Real Estate SignTraker (REST) and TTBS for trying to figure out how to get me off the bay floor! YIKES. Eventually, Mariken came over with my back support while we waited for the ambulance and a quick trip to Shady Grove. The EMTs were great and the team of professionals at Shady Grove were equally awesome. I'm walking today with less challenges. More to come...

ITS NOT ALL WORK. If you celebrate Easter you've likely enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. Well a few years back we started a tradition of adult beer hunting after the kids finished their egg hunt. This year the hunt was limited to me and my brother David. My son shot this short video capturing us having some fun. Tools are COOL!!! Tell you when I got started in this industry over two decades ago everything just relied on my two eyes and what was readily accessible. Now with submersible cameras we can do sewer inspections and chimney flu inspections and now even structural assessments. Now for this particular house had no issues whatsoever. Certainly delivering peace of mind to the buyer.

NOT MY FIRST choice... So one of our Sr. Inspectors, Aaron B. was at a property last week. This property had multiple offers - no shocker there. However, the other potential buyer had their inspector come. This is his mode of transportation. He had strapped a telescoping ladder to his back seat equipment bag. Doesn't look like he offers: Chimney Camera Inspections, Sewer Scoping, MOLD testing, Lead testing, Volatile Organic Compound sampling or gas leak etc. If you want a complete inspection the day of our inspection give us a call today. What's the deal? I've seen countless townhomes with bars across sliding glass doors to keep people from falling before a deck is built. This was a much older single family home that, well didn't need a door at the end of a second floor hallway!
DIY fail! We've all been there. Where is my duct tape or superglue I need to fix something. In the time it takes us jury rigging a fix we could have 1) fixed it right 2) hired the talent to fix it right. Our inspector Jim Parlato found this amazing fail... Hole in screen does not equal a can of spray expanding insulation foam. It kind of looks like - well you tell us?

The BEST 1 STAR review ever! Now this review is helpful to you. Well we suggested doing a sewer inspection at this property (honestly ALL PROPERTIES need this inspection) and the client declined. Then... after a few runs (no pun intended) to the bathroom they discovered an issue with roots in the drain. NEW construction has its own problems with waste lines. They get crushed during backfilling. All homes should be checked with a camera - including your home now! Call today!
