If you are local to the Washington D.C. area, we highly recommend a visit to the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health.

Last week, Christene Marie and George Hoffman attended an AMFP event at the Center for Total Health and had a stellar experience!

"A few months ago, Gracelyn McDermott and I got together for lunch. Given her position as VP of Marketing & Business Development, she shared the history of Kaiser Permanente. The genesis of the organization's heart is tied heavily to the founder himself, boots-on-the-ground caring for patients following The Great Depression, and set the precedence for this deep-seated compassion to permeate its services. He went so far as to accept patients even when their insurance refused coverage. It was such an amazing experience to walk through the halls of Kaiser's immersive experience at Total Health!" - Christene Marie.

The Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health is an immersive experience that leads you through the "Why?", "How?", and "What?" of total health. Their interactive digital wall, "Total Health Across America," allows visitors to discover health conditions and advancements occurring in major cities across the country. The Center for Total Health also draws attention to personal health via its walk-through exhibit of various health scenarios (E.g., aging, health disparities, mental health, and care delivery).

Together with their work to educate about advancements in the healthcare space, to partner with innovative health organizations, and to improve school and workplace health conditions, the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health is an inspiring resource.

Last night George and Christene attended the AMFP DC/Baltimore Chapter's Blueprints for Tomorrow: Sustainable Healthcare Design event at Kaiser Permanente in D.C. where they got to chat with colleagues in the community about the exciting projects and advancements coming up in the healthcare space. It was Christene's first time attending an AMFP event, and you can tell by the pictures that she had a great time meeting everyone.

George Hoffman, Christene Marie, and Sam Hoffman just had one of their last in-person meetings before Sam Hoffman transitions to being a virtual partner at Hoffman Painting & Finishing, as he and his family are moving out of state in a few days!

Although his presence on the job will be missed, our team is reminded just how thankful we are for his patience and servant leadership.

This live photo from that last meeting, caught by Christene Marie, is what working with family is like in a nutshell. Work and play are separate, but both are definitely present.

Sam, leadership meetings won't be the same without you, but our love follows you down to the south. We are so excited about what is to come for your family, and for the company as a whole with you still on board.

Part of being a family business is that "family" does not stop at blood relations. One of our top leadership commitments is valuing customers and employees.
