One of the biggest mistakes we see with stone stairs and stoops is that the focus is placed on how they look instead of how they’re built.

This project in Dahlonega, GA had reached the point where repairs were no longer the right solution. The existing stairs and stoop had failed, so we removed everything and rebuilt it from the ground up on a properly constructed foundation designed to provide long-term stability.

For the finished product, we installed hand-shaped stack stone and custom-shaped flagstone to create a natural look that fits the home while ensuring the structure beneath it is built to last.

We take a lot of pride in building projects the right way the first time. The craftsmanship you see on the surface is important, but what you don’t see underneath is what determines how long it will last.

A simple walkway can completely change the feel of a home when the right materials are selected.

For this project, the customer brought us a photo they found online as inspiration. We adjusted the material selections and color tones to better complement the existing house and fence colors while still keeping the overall look and character they loved.

This walkway was built using premium Oklahoma Blue flagstone with a buff tumbled cobblestone border and natural pea gravel joints to create a timeless, high-end appearance with plenty of texture and contrast.

To help the project feel intentional and tied into the property, we created soft entry curves in the walkway that mirror the lines of the fence. We also intentionally maintained approximately 3 feet of space between the fence and walkway to allow room for future landscaping and plant growth without plants eventually overcrowding or growing into the walkway itself.

It’s always exciting to take a customer’s vision and turn it into something real.

This project started with an AI-generated patio design that included a paver patio, stone seating wall, and stone fire pit. From there, we worked with the homeowner to improve the layout, fine tune the details, and bring the entire project to life.

To give the patio a cleaner and more defined appearance, we added a charcoal border that creates a sharp visual transition around the space. We also hand-shaped each piece of stone used for the seating wall and fire pit to create a natural fit and premium finished look.

Beyond the patio itself, proper preparation matters just as much as appearance. We carefully graded the surrounding area to ensure positive drainage away from the patio, then completed the project with seed and straw for a clean final result.

We recently completed a full landscape transformation for a client in the Chesatee neighborhood off of Hwy 400 in Dawsonville, dealing with a common problem, fescue turf that simply wouldn’t grow due to heavy shade. No matter how much you water or maintain it, grass needs sunlight, and this area just wasn’t getting enough.

Our solution was to remove the struggling turf and replace it with high quality artificial grass, creating a clean, green look year round with minimal maintenance. To complement the new turf, we installed egg rock for added drainage and visual contrast, along with fresh mulch to define the surrounding beds and improve overall curb appeal.

We also adjusted the irrigation system to better match the new layout, eliminating unnecessary watering in the turf area while ensuring the remaining plants get exactly what they need. To finish the project, we installed landscape lighting to highlight key features and improve the look and function of the space after dark.
