Thank you to WPBF 25 for highlighting the tank we constructed for Fort Pierce Utilities Authority and its nomination for Tnemec Company, Inc.'s 2026 People's Choice Tank of the Year! The beautiful artwork done by C. Stanley Creative highlights the beauty of natural Florida, and we are so glad our prestressed concrete tank could be a canvas for this larger-than-life mural.

It’s time to cast your vote!

CROM is so honored that one of our tanks is nominated for Tnemec’s 2026 People’s Choice Tank of the Year! Located in Fort Pierce, Florida, this tank is more than just essential infrastructure. It’s also a colorful community landmark.

Originally constructed in 1973, the tank is still in service and located in a tough salt-spray environment along the Atlantic Ocean. It recently received a cosmetic upgrade, and features a vibrant mural celebrating local wildlife, painted by Florida-based artist Christian Stanley of C. Stanley Creative. Sea turtles, dolphins, manatees, pelicans and tropical fish bring the surrounding coastal environment to life.

Last week we spent some time honoring the legacy of CROM founder Ted Crom.

We were proud to gather for a dedication ceremony and unveil a beautiful Seth Thomas clock gifted to CROM by Jim Neff, retired CROM Senior Vice President, who received the clock from Ted.

Ted was an avid collector of clock and watchmaking tools, and had a beautiful collection of clocks. We are proud to now have a piece of his collection hanging on the walls at CROM.

This ceremony was a special opportunity to reflect on Ted Crom’s lasting impact and the foundation he built for CROM’s continued growth and success. We’re grateful to Jim for this thoughtful gift and for helping us celebrate a piece of CROM’s history that will be cherished for years to come.

Thank you, Jim, for helping us honor the legacy that continues to move CROM forward!

CROM Superintendent Kevin McKeown is sharing a behind-the-scenes look at a AWWA D110 Prestressed Concrete Tank and a Type II Core Wall, which combines a continuous steel diaphragm with high-velocity shotcrete placement to create a durable, watertight tank system.

In this video, he explains the benefits, versatility and performance advantages of shotcrete. Our tanks are built for watertight performance, meeting our zero allowable leakage standards. We’d love to show you why our expertly-applied shotcrete creates a continuous core wall and is the ideal solution for a wide range of project needs.

Follow the link below to our YouTube channel, where we’ll be sharing more about CROM, who we are, and what we do.

Here at CROM, we take Team Building to a whole new level!

Our leadership team put their communication and collaboration skills to the test during a friendly competition at our annual Directors Meeting: The Marshmallow Tower Challenge.

They had to build the tallest freestanding structure in 15 minutes, and it was so fun seeing how everyone worked together to attempt to build the tallest tower. We had participation across all our division offices, and there were some pretty impressive towers! But what was even more impressive was how well everyone worked with their colleagues.

This challenge was a great way to put a fun spin on remembering the importance of adaptability, communication and teamwork!
