One thing we truly love at Scherer Construction is supporting our families. ❤️

So many of our Scherer kids are involved in sports, activities, and organizations, and it means the world to us to support the families who support us every single day. We receive a lot of requests throughout the year to sponsor teams and events, and while we can’t say yes to everything, one thing we can do is rally behind our own Scherer families and the activities their children are passionate about.

Construction life often means long hours, early mornings, late nights, and time away from family. Our employees work incredibly hard to help build our communities, so being able to support their children’s hobbies, passions, and teams feels full circle to us. What better way to make employees feel valued than by supporting the people they love most?

We are especially proud to see Scherer signs hanging proudly on the outfield fences at local baseball fields this season. ⚾❤️

We pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave their lives protecting our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day.

From all of us at Scherer Construction, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Last week, had the honor of joining Oak Hall School in Gainesville to celebrate a major construction milestone in their “Two Spaces. One Vision.” campaign with a special beam-signing event! 🏗️💙

Students, teachers, and administrators from Kindergarten through 11th grade came together to leave their mark on the future of their school. The excitement, smiles, and energy said it all! These names will forever be part of Oak Hall history. ✍️✨

PreK-5th grade students proudly signed the beam in Sharpie while wearing white and yellow hard hats, while Upper School students signed their names alongside their graduation year. What an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

The new Upper School gym will be approximately 21,000 square feet featuring three basketball courts, while the Lower School gym will be 6,000 square feet with one court. We are so excited to help bring these spaces to life for future generations of Oak Hall students.

Friday was a celebration for the City of Gainesville as the newly redesigned City Hall Plaza officially reopened with a ribbon cutting ceremony! 🎉

More than 200 community members, city leaders, staff, and officials gathered together in the new civic courtyard to celebrate this exciting transformation. The redesigned plaza now features expanded seating, upgraded lighting, beautiful landscaping, and an open-concept layout designed to host community gatherings, shows, announcements, events, and so much more.

This revitalized space also highlights the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hall of Fame Garden and the Sister Cities Monument, creating a meaningful and welcoming place for the community to gather and connect.

The project was carefully constructed in phases while City Hall remained fully operational, allowing city staff, commissioners, and officials a unique bird’s-eye view of the progress throughout construction.

We are incredibly proud to have partnered with JBPro and the City of Gainesville to help bring this vision to life. This project aligns with the city’s strategic plan to create a great place for neighbors to live, gather, and thrive.

Our relationship with The Salvation Army spans more than 20 years, with projects reaching from Florida to Texas. Our team has the privilege of working alongside The Salvation Army on a regular basis—supporting everything from small facility repairs to the construction of new buildings that serve our communities.
