I recently was asked to pay a visit to a past customer of mine. What I viewed upon my visit was horrible and disgusting! My company constructed a new sunroom at the front of the home, along with a stoop at the entry, along with a screen room, deck, railing, and stairs to the ground level in the back. The condition of the Yella Wood brand pressure treated decking, railing, stairs, and the screen room wooden framing was observed in decrepit condition after only 14 years of use. I caution all of you about this. We left this customer very pleased with all of our work, ...pleased enough for us to come back to take a look at replacing it all with something that will last the test of time and elements. Have a seat while viewing! In today's world, if a customer approaches us wanting a pressure treated deck surface or railing, I refuse to use it and suggest composite materials or turn the job down. Today's pressure treated lumber is even worse than 15 years ago.
