Outdoor living, reimagined. 🤍

There’s something special about creating a space that brings the comforts of home outdoors.

This covered deck was designed for gathering, entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors year-round with a vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling, exposed beams, skylights, composite decking, custom railings and plenty of room for both dining and lounging.

More than a deck, it’s an extension of the home and a whole new way to enjoy the backyard.

What could we create for your home?

What an incredible night! 🤍

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our Lake Lanier Open House! The turnout was incredible! Agents, friends, neighbors showing up by car, golf carts and even by boat! 🚤 Seeing everyone coming from every direction to tour this transformation was pretty amazing.

After months of designing, renovating and bringing this lake house back to life, getting to finally open the doors and share the finished home with everyone was such a rewarding moment for us.

We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by, toured the home, shared it with others and supported us along the way. You truly made the night such a huge success!

And a special thank you to Scott & Susan Brown for trusting MDH Design & Build with this transformation, and to Curated Staging & Designs for putting the finishing touches on this beautiful home. 🤍

What a night. What a turnout. And what a way to celebrate this Lake Lanier transformation! 🏡🌊

From ’80s wallpaper to a bathroom that feels completely transformed. 🤍

We reworked the layout to maximize every inch, opened everything up, and during demo uncovered that beautiful hiding behind the walls.

Of course, we had to save a piece of it and turning it into the brick became one of our favorite details.

It’s the unexpected finds, the problem solving, and watching the vision finally come together that make like this so rewarding

You see the transformation. We see everything it took to get there.

Long before demo starts, we’re sketching, measuring, reworking layouts, opening sightlines and thinking through how our clients will actually live in the space.

Where should the cabinetry go?
How should you move through the room?
What can we change to make it feel bigger, brighter and more intentional?

Those are the details I love. 🤎

Because a beautiful “after” doesn’t just happen during construction.

It starts with the design.

They say it’s an addiction… we call it loving what we do. 🤍🔨

There’s something about this stage of a project that never gets old. Watching the vision come together, seeing the finishes go in and checking off those final details before a home is ready for market.

We’re in the final stretch on this one… and she’s almost ready.

Stay tuned for the finished reveal.

Reviews like this mean so much to our family business.

Thank you Pam & Roger for trusting our team with your beautiful home. ❤️

“After 18 years, my husband, Roger Barnes and I decided it was time to fully renovate our deck using high-quality Trex composite material. The project was substantial approximately 800 square feet and required a contractor with strong expertise, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently with existing materials.

After getting started, the project did not initially go as planned, and we found ourselves needing an experienced professional who could step in, assess the situation, and bring the work to completion.

That’s when we found Mark Buchs.
Mark and his company, MDH Design & Build, took on our project when others were hesitant. From the beginning, he approached the work with confidence, clarity, and professionalism. He carefully evaluated what needed to be done, developed a clear plan, and executed it with skill and precision.

Not only did Mark successfully reconstruct our back deck, but he also exceeded our expectations by rebuilding our front porch with matching Trex materials and completing additional improvements around our chimney. His attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident in every aspect of the work.

Throughout the entire process, Mark and his crew were highly skilled, dependable, and fair. They communicated clearly, maintained a professional job site, and delivered craftsmanship that truly transformed our home.

Our back deck located on John Burruss Road in the Lake Forest subdivision in Cu***ng, Georgia is now something we are extremely proud of. The final result speaks for itself in both quality and durability.

We highly recommend Mark Buchs and MDH Design & Build for any construction or renovation project. As a family owned business, they bring integrity, experience, and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.

If you would like more details, you are welcome to visit and see the work firsthand. We would be happy to share our experience”.
