Today, I had to Google "Chopped Unc". I quickly realized that needing to look up slang in the first place is a pretty Unc move. Anyway, here's some pics of my latest chess board made with recycled skateboards, walnut and maple. I think it looks pretty cool, not chopped at all.

As a general rule of thumb, its usually easier to bring a piece to the tool instead of bringing the tool to the piece. Mounting this "palm" sander to a vice has made sanding these custom bread knives so much easier. Sometimes it takes a few hundred hours of repetitive motion for the lightbulb to switch on in your brain...but live and learn.
