Took this yard from 2.5” to 1.25” to “fix” the low spots.

Backstory: We started maintaining this yard back in the summer. Up till then, the yard had been cut at about 3.5-3.75”. The homeowner liked how level other yards we maintained on the street were and was unhappy with the low spots in her yard left by the previous owner/lawn maintenance company. We explained that the low spots were actually the proper height of cut, so the rest of the yard needed to be mowed to match the lower height. At that point, we decided to cut and bag the yard at 2.5”. Today we lowered and dethatched the yard, bringing the height of cut to 1.25”. Our goal going forward will be to maintain this yard at 1.5-1.75”.

This yard was neglected all of last summer by a lawn company who would show up once every two to three weeks.

Even with my mower I was scalping the yard and it wasn’t providing a great cut.

We did a full reset on this yard and now, well, you can see for yourself how great the yard looks. Fully recovered and has been maintained at 1.75”.
