Storm season 2026 is almost over. Somewhere between June and now, your roof absorbed heat, wind, rain, and whatever Florida decided to throw at it β€” and kept the inside of your home dry and safe.

That is not nothing. That is the whole point of a roof. And after a season like this one, it has earned an honest assessment from someone who knows what to look for.

A free Trinity inspection is not about finding problems to fix. It is about knowing where you stand so you can plan with real information instead of assumptions. Most inspections end with good news. The ones that do not end with a plan you control.

Give your roof the check-up it earned.

Your shingles were one uniform color when they were new. Changes in color are not cosmetic. They are data points about your roof's health. Here is a quick guide:

Dark streaks or black lines: Algae growth actively feeding on your shingles. More common on shaded or north-facing sections.

Bright white patches: Granule loss exposing the asphalt mat underneath. A sign of accelerated aging in that section.

Uneven fading with light patches: UV degradation that is more advanced in some sections due to ventilation or sun exposure differences.

Green patches: Moss or lichen growth trapping moisture against the shingle surface and accelerating breakdown beneath it.

None of these are emergencies on their own. All of them are signals worth a professional conversation. What does your roof look like right now?

When a storm hits Jacksonville, our Jacksonville team shows up. When Orlando needs a roof after a difficult summer, our Orlando team answers the phone. When a Daytona Beach homeowner is stressed about storm damage, a local Project Manager who knows the area and knows the weather is on the way.

This is what local actually means in roofing. Not a corporate call center that dispatches strangers from wherever they can find them. A real team in your community that has driven your streets, seen your neighborhood's rooflines, and been through the same storm season you have.

We are closing out storm season 2026 grateful for every Florida homeowner who trusted us this year. If we have not met yet, we would love to introduce ourselves with a free inspection. No strings. Just a conversation between neighbors.

Florida does not get a dramatic fall like the rest of the country but the trees still drop and the gutters still fill. And the problem with November debris is that it sits through the entire winter while rainfall increases and UV decreases β€” meaning it stays wet longer than summer debris ever would.

Wet debris packed against your fascia boards for three months is one of the top causes of fascia rot and roofline water damage in Florida winter. The fix costs nothing if you catch it in November. It costs thousands if you catch it in March.

Full gutter assessment is included in every free Trinity inspection. Book one before the holiday schedule fills up.

Northern homeowners replace roofs because of ice dams and snow load. Florida homeowners think they are off the hook in winter. They are not.

What Florida winter actually does to roofs:

Temperature swings between 40 and 80 degrees expand and contract your roofing materials daily. This works fasteners loose and opens sealed edges over time.

Increased rainfall with no summer sun to dry things out quickly keeps moisture trapped in any existing weak point longer than any other season.

Algae and mold growth accelerates in cooler humid conditions without intense UV to slow it down.

A Florida roof in winter is not resting. It is dealing with a completely different set of stresses. And October through February is when those issues hide most effectively.

Everyone tells Florida homeowners to replace their roof before hurricane season. Smart advice. But the second best window is one almost no one talks about: October and November.

After storm season winds down, roofing crews have more availability. Scheduling is faster. Materials are in stock. And mild fall temperatures mean shingles seal and cure better than they do in July heat or a January cold snap.

November is historically when contractor schedules open up and homeowners who waited out storm season can finally get professional attention without competing with emergency repairs.

If your roof has been on your list all year, this is your window. Book a free inspection now and get on the schedule before it fills back up for spring.

Most Florida homeowners think the dark streaks on their shingles are just dirt or staining. They are actually a cyanobacteria called Gloeocapsa magma β€” and it feeds on the limestone filler in your asphalt shingles.

Left untreated, algae breaks down shingles faster than UV does. It traps moisture against your roof surface. And it spreads from one section to your entire roofline in a single rainy season.

Owens Corning Duration shingles with StreakGuard protection are specifically engineered to resist algae growth β€” which is one reason Trinity installs them on every Florida home. If your current roof has visible streaks, it is worth a conversation about whether a professional treatment or replacement is the right call.

Free inspection. Honest answer. No pressure.

The national conversation about hurricane season peaks in June and quiets down by September. But NOAA data consistently shows that October storms are some of the most dangerous Florida has ever seen. Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Panhandle on October 10th. Wilma made landfall on October 24th. Matthew struck on October 7th.

The season is not over. If your roof took any hits this summer and you have not had it professionally inspected, now is the window. Before the next system forms.

Free inspection. Same week scheduling across all four Florida markets.
