Water getting in through a small opening in the roof or windows can lead to significant wood rot in the plywood sheathing behind the brick.

With continual rain exposure, the mortar had also eroded, requiring the brick to be carefully removed. We removed the damaged plywood, thoroughly cleaned the affected area, replaced the sheathing, and rebuilt the brickwork.

The exterior is now sealed back up and restored — but that’s only half the story.

Finding Water You Can’t See👀
