We could watch this all day. It's mesmerizing to watch the plaster team work. This pool was replastered in one long, dirty afternoon, from start to finish, and at the end, the pool looked completely different - better than new!

We recently resurfaced this pool in Dallas:

1. First we chipped into the old plaster surface.
2. Then we added new plaster over it.
3. Next we tiled the wet plaster with glass bead tiles.
4. And then added another layer of plaster over it.
5. Finally, we rinsed away a little of top layer of plaster to reveal the glass beads.

This technique creates a surface that sparkles in the sunlight and refracts light from LED lights in the pool at night. It's a beautiful option for homeowners open to considering premium materials for their pool project.

This flagstone patio we installed in Plano, TX last month was part of a larger front yard hardscaping project featuring tiered Lueders limestone veneer retaining walls, brick outlay concrete walkway, and comprehensive landscaping.

Here you can see the masonry team assembling the flagstones for the patio and fitting them, like puzzle pieces, into place.

Despite its small size, this backyard nook features a fireplace, sunken seating area, and pizza oven and ties into the hardscaping with natural stone caps and color-matched pavers in the patio.

This outdoor space existed before our project but we replace the entire patio and the turfed area, added the stone veneer station for the pizza oven with the firewood storage underneath, and refaced the retaining walls for the sunken patio.

The trick in this project was sourcing the right pavers and capstones and, of course, maximizing the space's utility despite the small space.

Every yard needs a fence, but not every yard has to make do with a simple wooden fence. You don't have to hide your beautiful landscaping behind a bland 8-ft of wooden wall. Instead, you can take inspiration from this project that wrapped their expansive property in a striking 4 foot metal fence with brick columns (matched to the brick on the home).

Travertine's not just great for around the pool. It's a great upscale option for patios and walkways, porches, wall caps, and even accents. What makes travertine special is it's beautiful (and versatile) color options and its resistance to heat. Unlike concrete, or brick to a lesser degree, natural stones retain less heat, and travertine more than most.

The front entrance to this home in Dallas is a beautiful example of how travertine can light up any outdoor space (pools, patios, and much more).
