Before severe weather approaches, make sure your crew knows:

• Who’s monitoring conditions and making the call to stop work.
• Where to take shelter - and how to get there.
• How weather alerts and shutdown instructions will reach everyone, including subcontractors.
• Who will inspect the site before work resumes.

Secure materials and equipment early, while conditions are safe. Then walk through the plan with your crew. If someone can’t tell you where to go or who to listen to, there’s still preparation to do.
