Don’t wait until the last minute. Here are 4 things to check before the season hits:

𝟏. 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 These snap in high winds and become projectiles. If it looks dry, cracked, or barely attached - get it down.

𝟐. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 Walk your property and look up. Any branch within striking distance of your roof should be pruned back before storm season.

Cloud pruning a large Cedar tree is a great way to make space for other desired plants to grow nearby! This maturing sabal minor gets more sunlight and space to spread its fronds. These trees are quite close yet now compliment each other largely because of the pruning of the Cedar. This dwarf palmetto is also particularly beautiful and we are toying with the idea of transplanting it to a more capital location.
