I took shelter dog Nilla to a baseball game and she did so great! It’s not easy to be a relaxed dog in a loud ballpark with a bunch of people and other dogs around. She was such a star! 🌟 To see if she’s still waiting to be adopted, please check Everett Animal Shelter’s site, linked in my bio! 💫

Beauty is 10 months old, dog-friendly, people-friendly after a few minutes to warm up 😊, and rather quiet (very little barking). She loooves kids (probably age 5+ is best). She’s a little too interested in small critters to live with any, so not cat siblings for her, please! She likes to be near her people, so someone who is home a lot would be a great match for her 💗 I’d love to find her the right home before I have to take her back to the shelter. ❤️‍🩹

I know it’s sad to think of a dog at the shelter, spending most of its day in a small kennel. But as a shelter volunteer, I’ve seen dogs come into the shelter in horrible condition. Emaciated. Neglected. Abused. And some of these dogs are owner surrendered and had been living in a home. Some of these dogs are strays and had been living on the streets. So while the shelter might seem “sad” for some dogs, for other dogs, it is a lifeline. A clean and safe place where they are fed and can rest. Where they receive veterinary care and can begin to heal. I know not all shelters are the same, but for the shelters I have volunteered in, they are the best place some dogs have ever been. ❤️‍🩹
