Every once in a while, a little soul comes along that’s incredibly hard to let go of.

Meet Jockey.

He wasn’t just born here…
He was hoped for.

After June lost her baby during her previous pregnancy, we weren’t sure what the future would hold. Around the same time, our beloved jack, Charlie, was struggling with fertility.

So we decided to try something we’d never done before.

With a lot of patience (and yes…a little help from us 😅), Charlie became the sire of this sweet little boy.

Watching June carry him safely and finally welcome a healthy foal into the world felt like a gift we didn’t take for granted.

In many ways, Jockey is our little rainbow baby.

And somehow, his personality seems to match his story.

He is hands-down the sweetest, most curious, people-loving donkey we’ve ever raised. He meets us at the gate, follows us around the pasture, and already thinks every person he meets is his new best friend.

We don’t have baby miniature donkeys available very often, which makes this even more bittersweet.

As much as we’d love to keep every baby born here, part of stewarding this farm well is allowing some of them to become part of someone else’s story.

So this isn’t really a “for sale” post.

It’s a “help us find the right family” post.

If you’ve been dreaming of adding a miniature donkey to your farm—not just as livestock, but as a cherished companion—we’d love to hear from you.

The right home matters far more to us than making a quick sale.

Friends are always welcome to share this post if someone special comes to mind. 🤍

Some animals are sold. Others are carefully entrusted to their next family.

Jockey is one of those. 🤍

There is something incredibly rewarding about taking bits and bobs from around our farm and turning them into something that will last for years.

Every everlasting botanical piece begins right here at Honey Blum.

The grasses swaying along the creek…
The flowers blooming in the garden…
The grapevine wreaths woven from our vineyard…
Even the naturally shed Sebastopol goose feathers…

Each one is a small piece of this place we call home.

I love wandering the farm in search of interesting textures—collecting grasses, seed heads, fallen feathers, vines, and flowers before carefully drying them to preserve their beauty. That’s only the beginning.

Then comes my favorite part: pairing botanicals together in a way that lets each one shine while creating something entirely unique.

It’s a way of capturing the seasons—preserving a little piece of the farm’s heart—and sharing that everlasting beauty with others.

I’m so excited to officially introduce the Everlasting Botanical Collection from Honey Blum Florals.

🌿 Handcrafted botanical wreaths

🌿 Everlasting bouquets & posies

🌿 Custom botanical designs

🌿 Wholesale botanicals available for florists, boutiques, designers, and retailers

Each piece is one of a kind, created from flowers and botanicals grown or thoughtfully foraged from our family farm in Friendsville, Tennessee.

There’s a new little bloom at Honey Blum Farms. 🌸

On Monday, our hearts grew again as we welcomed Attwood Rose into the world.

6 pounds, 3 ounces of sweetness…and somehow she already feels like she’s always belonged here.

We’ve spent the week soaking her in while Baylor proudly takes on his new role as big brother. He’s already showing her the farm (from our arms, of course), introducing her to flowers, sunshine, and all the little things we hope she’ll grow up loving.

The weeds are a little taller.
There are trays waiting to be planted.
The to-do list isn’t getting any shorter.

And honestly…

We’re perfectly okay with that.

For now, we’re choosing slower (sleepy) mornings, baby snuggles, tiny fingers wrapped around ours, and watching our family bloom into this new season together.

Thank you all for cheering us on, supporting our little farm, and celebrating life’s sweetest moments alongside us.

Welcome to the world, sweet Atti Rose.
We’re already so in love. 🤍

Turns out flower farming isn’t nearly as glamorous as it looks. 🤍

Some mornings start before sunrise with coffee in one hand, snips in the other, and apparently… no harvest bucket. 😅

There are dirt stains that won’t come out, scratched arms, sore shoulders, and more than a few moments where I wonder if I can carry just one more armful.

But then the flowers start coming together.

The same blooms that were growing quietly in the garden a few hours earlier become bouquets that brighten someone’s kitchen table, celebrate a birthday, comfort a friend, or simply make an ordinary day feel a little more beautiful.

I’d choose this life—and these early mornings—over and over again.

Thank you for following along and supporting this little flower farm. Every bouquet truly means the world to us. 🌿💐

We wait a whole year for a baby donkey to be born…yesterday we were blessed with this baby boy 🙏 Welcome to the farm Jockey 💕

Mini donkeys are pregnant for 11 to 14 months. That’s a long wait of monitoring mom and anticipation for the day they’ll arrive. The day they foal is so special and so worth the wait!

There’s something special about finding a place that shares your values.

A place that celebrates local growers, honors thoughtful craftsmanship, and believes beauty is best when it’s rooted close to home.

We’re honored to share Honey Blum Florals with the community.

Each bouquet is gathered on our family farm in Friendsville using blooms harvested at their natural peak — designed in rhythm with what the garden is offering each week.

This is just the beginning.

Honey Blum Florals will be available weekly at FarmSouth starting this Thursday!

The final arrangement is only part of the story. But always inspired by what will bring the most joy to others.

There’s always a pause.
A second thought.
A stem removed.
Another gathered from the garden.

Sometimes creating means stepping back long enough to let the design reveal what it wants to become.

That’s the beauty of designing with the season.
