te sanitation systems) usually have some sort of treatment tank and a drain-field that distributes the treated water to ground for further treatment. Some systems have additional treatment methods, often to create an aerobic bacteria environment. They prefer cave-like crawlspaces or unlocked sheds near the waterfront. They apparently eat shell-fish and they defecate where they live, and their living space becomes an awful mess with a powerful stench that emanates up through the floor into the house. So, I also clean up otter poop and install otter exclusion systems. If you have persistent otters who want back in, I can help!
