This is Alexander Mata, one of our Journeyman Mechanics who has been with Electric Motor Shop for 14 years.

His days can vary quite a bit, working on pumps, gearboxes, AC and DC motors, and more. Around the shop, Alexander is especially known for his work on submersible pumps and DC motors, and one of his favorite pieces of equipment is the vertical press because of how useful it is for his work.

One thing customers might not realize is just how involved a complete repair can be, from diagnosing the problem to finishing the job and getting the equipment back in service.

When he’s not at work, Alexander enjoys fishing, bowling, and cooking.
