🏠New Lifetime Roof — Fresno
Just wrapped this one up, and it's a great example of doing a roof right instead of just doing it fast.
This home got GAF Timberline HDZ RS shingles — a lifetime-rated, cool roof shingle. The RS (Reflector Series) reflects solar heat instead of soaking it up, which means a cooler attic, a lower cooling bill, and a roof that holds up to Central Valley and foothill summers.
But the part we're most proud of is something most people will never notice — and that's exactly the point.
Look closely at the roof plane. No bulky, bolt-on vents breaking up the roofline. We used Quarrix OffRidge intake and exhaust vents — a low-profile, streamlined vent that sits nearly flush with the shingles. They meet manufacturer ventilation requirements and building code, they keep wind-driven rain, snow, and pests out, and they deliver balanced attic airflow without the lumpy, cluttered look you get from traditional off-ridge and tile-style vents.
And here's the big one: they don't get in the way of a future solar install. Traditional protruding vents eat up prime roof real estate and force solar layouts to work around them. These don't. If solar is in your five-year plan, this decision matters now.
