Position: Material Handler
Pay: $15–$18/hr depending on experience
Location: Freeport, MI


What you'll be doing:

• Loading, unloading, and moving lumber and materials
• Supporting sawmill operations
• Keeping our facility safe and organized

What we're looking for:

• Reliable, hard-working individuals
• Ability to lift and work on your feet
• Prior warehouse or lumber experience a plus — but we'll train the right person!
• Must be 18 years of age or older

A very special post for a very special employee of ours. Bob Tibble has worked for our company for 50 years! Five decades of hard work, dedication, and commitment is truly an incredible achievement. Congratulations on this well-deserved milestone Bob, and thank you for being such an important part of our team over the years!

We will be back to our regular filming schedule next week, but in the meantime we would like to share some more fun pictures from our summer outing!

Enjoyed some good food, plenty of laughs, and even better company. We’re grateful for our amazing team and the opportunity to take a little time away from the day-to-day to connect and celebrate together!😊

We just recently held our annual summer outing at The Golf Loft, and wanted to share photos of our award ceremony. These plaques were made from lumber sawn at our mill by our very own employee and owner of Weiler Woodworking & Customs and we are so pleased with how they turned out! Check out his page for custom woodworking and CNC content, and a behind the scenes video of how these plaques were made!

We also want to give another big thanks to our employees who show up and work hard year after year. We wouldn’t be able to do this without you!

Here is a clip of the guys working hard on our green chain. These guys inspect, sort, and stack the lumber before shipping.

After a fresh pack of lumber is pulled from the mill we spray a coat of wax to slow down the moisture loss from the ends of the boards. This protects against cracks and warping while being stored or transported.
