Sometimes the problem isn’t the roof itself, it’s the repair.
This homeowner had a tile roof leak repaired about 6 months ago by another contractor, but the leak kept coming back. After inspecting the area, we found the previous repair in the valley did not extend high enough up the roof system, allowing water to continue getting underneath and causing ongoing issues.
Our team corrected the repair properly, extended the repair where it actually needed to go, and stopped the leak the right way. We also took the extra time to carefully source and match the closest tile color possible so the repair blended in with the existing roof.
The roof itself is around 30 years old, which says a lot about tile roofing. Properly installed and maintained tile roofs can often last 50+ years, and some clay tile systems can last even longer.
Tile roofs require experience, patience, and attention to detail. A quick patch may temporarily hide the issue, but it won’t solve the source of the leak.
If your roof is still leaking after a “repair,” it may be time for a second opinion.
