🌲From a mature pine tree to a brand new lawn!

After the mature pine tree was removed and the stump was ground, we excavated the area to remove the buried tree debris and grindings left throughout the soil.

Removing this material was an important step before installing the new lawn. Leftover wood and organic debris can break down over time, creating soft spots, settling, and potential sinkholes.

We removed the debris, prepared the area, and got it ready for a fresh new lawn! 🌱

This was a big project with some tight access behind the shed!

We cut into the hillside and reused the material to create additional level yard space near the back of the home. The newly cut section was then finished as lawn, helping to nearly double the usable level space.

We also added #3 Rip-Rap stone around the shed to create a clean, durable, and nearly maintenance-free area.

I installed the shed pad last year, and it’s holding up great!

Another challenging space turned into a much more functional and usable area. 💪

A few weeks ago, we repaired a sinkhole that had developed in the center of a lawn. The cause was rotting wood approximately 3–4 feet below the surface.

We excavated the area, removed the deteriorated material, and backfilled it with stone. The lawn was then restored with a topdressing of topsoil and peat moss, followed by fresh seed.

Nothing says Happy Father’s Day like a fresh shed pad! Lots of brush had to be removed and hauled off from clearing. The pad is square with the home as the parcel (and fence) are irregularly shaped.
