Winter is here and with that comes snow, ice, high winds, and frequent freeze and thaws. This is just our friendly reminder that hazardous trees are still a danger. Please keep in mind that:
Trees that are most susceptible to snow and ice damage include:
Trees with more than one central leader
Trees cultivated in a clump or multi-trunked form (such as birch or serviceberry)
Trees with poor form including narrow branch attachment points, have included bark, or are imbalanced
Evergreens with an upright habit
These are not the only trees that can be dangerous. Please save yourselves any headache in the future if you think you have trees that are susceptible to the harsh winter and its damaging forces.
