Pressure vs volume. We frequently get calls for LOW pressure. "my shower just dribbles or, Ive got good pressure in part of the house' My favorite is I had great pressure at my old house" this is always followed by can you increase my pressure.
while there are some cases where the pressure is limited. most likley this is not a pressure issue.
First modern plumbing is designed to conserve water typically by instally fixtures that have a limited flow rate. Older homes do not have this but use a lot more water. Older homes may have build up in pipes that resricts the flow. another big culprit of flow are sediment screens. Typically found on the inlets of fixtures, areators on faucets, water connections to appliances and filtration devices, screes can fill up with sediment and trash thus blocking the adequate flow of water through a fixture.
all of these conditions do not reduce the pressure but reduce the volume of flow.
Finally if the problem has occured after a repair remodel or addition to the system. it may be an overall piping issue. This needs to be evaluated. Flow issues can be annoying but we can sort them out in short order. Give us a call
