I have always loved to take pictures. It's a part of me. I enjoy capturing life's special moments. It's as simple as that. I love to take all types of portraits.

I am completely uninterested in landscape photograhy, unless people are involved. I love capturing the true moments of life. I love the nervous excitement I feel before a photo shoot. I love when I first see one of my shots and KNOW that the subject will be excited when they see it as well. I love when friends challenge me and request photos that are outside of my comfort zone. That is what pushes

me to become better. And the expectations I place on myself to exceed their expectations is what keeps me going.

I met Sydney's mom in a playgroup back in 2006. She had one daughter at the time. A few years later, two more babies came along, the last one being baby Sydney. How Sydney is now a senior, I have no idea! Time just flies! We had such a great afternoon strolling the downtown Fredericksburg area capturing this fun time in her life! Here are a few of my favorites!

On Monday, I got the chance to spend a little bit of time on a farm with Kaden taking senior portraits with her and one of the horses that she rides. I met Kaden about 14 years ago during an art and tumble class with my son. Our paths didn't cross again until last year when she was helping with the horses during a photo session with her good friend. I love to see what a mature, lovely young woman she has become. I appreciate the opportunity to capture some sweet moments with the horse and her dog. Here are a few favorites. 😍

I met Kendal when she was the 2 year old little sister of one of the girls I coached on our soccer team. It is wild that she is now graduating high school and heading off to college! Where does the time go?! Congrats Kendal! Good luck as you move onto your next great adventure!

The last time I took portraits with Landon, he was about 4 years old. He is now a senior in high school and I am trying to figure out how that happened! Due to my packed schedule that day, I had to arrive at his photo session dressed as a voodoo doll. So, he has a unique story to tell someday about the day he had his senior portraits done. Even funnier is that his mom did not give him a heads up that I would be in costume when he arrived. 😆 But despite not being super excited to be photographed and having his photographer show up as a doll, he was a great subject and made my task super easy. 😍

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to take senior portraits for a young woman who is the little sister of one of the girls I used to coach in soccer. I met Kendal when she was 3 and now she is all grown up! She has been riding horses for many years and we had so much fun capturing some photos of her with some of the horses that she rides. Her mom, sister and good friend were there for ideas and moral support so I was able to get them in a few photos as well. It was hard to choose a few favorites because there were just so many good ones! 😍

I met Sophia when she was an infant and now she is a senior in high school!! I don't know where the time has gone. But, I do love seeing what a smart, kind, beautiful young lady that Sophia has grown up to be. 😍

Vivi Senior portraits, part 2. First came the horses, then came the truck. 😁 And when her friend happened to drive up, he got in a few photos too! I loved that her outfit matched her truck and his outfit matched his. 😆

I love how many fun things I have experienced due to my photography. I never know where I might end up. Yesterday, I got to photograph my friend's daughter Vivi doing one of her favorite things: horseback riding. 😍 Senior portraits are so much more fun than when mine were taken back in the dark ages. 😂

Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of a couple from one of the most amazing families that I am fortunate enough to know. The day was filled with so much emotion as the bride and groom's marriage was witnessed by so many people who love them dearly. I am so happy to have been a part of it. 💓 Bryce Resort was a gorgeous location to celebrate such a special occasion. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
