Waynesboro Construction also handles a significant number of projects in a design/build capacity. Since 1899, when A.R. Warner founded this company, each generation of management has worked to build and maintain what has become an outstanding reputation. In 1960, the firm changed its name to Waynesboro Construction, and in 1986, we expanded with an office in Frederick, Maryland. Today's management team recognizes the importance of the company's long history of accomplishment. That history continues to build today and provides our foundation as a leader in quality construction services in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

This 3-story, 60,000 SqFt office building was the first new Class ‘A’ office space constructed on the upgraded north-south commercial corridor known as Eastern Boulevard. The building that now houses Brewer’s Alley was once the city’s original market building, later transformed to an opera house and theatre, and then used as a City Hall. Renovating this building, which included portions constructed in the 1790s and located within the City of Frederick’s Historic District, required the use and understanding of many special trade skills with sensitivity toward the preservation of this historical structure. Having a background from working on other historic renovation and downtown projects, Waynesboro Construction worked closely with the owner and architect to reconstruct the building into a restaurant and microbrewery while retaining the historic integrity of the original structure.

Waynesboro Construction accepted the challenge of demolishing Waynesboro Country Club’s old clubhouse and completing the new construction over five winter months, in time to greet the first rush of spring golfers. Appointed with colonial charm and a standing seam roof that resembles the patina of aged copper, the new clubhouse affords majestic views of the course and of the hills beyond.
