This project was another successful design build collaboration with our good friends at Biohabitats! Two Low Impact Development (LID) bioretention retrofits were installed in the District of Columbia on 19th St NW, near the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave.

These facilities are designed to capture and treat stormwater runoff from 19th Street. Both facilities received boulder seating areas around the perimeter and will be planted with native vegetation by others.

The Project Owner, Golden Triangle DC, aimed to demonstrate the viability of integrating LID practices and green space into the existing urban infrastructure. Triangle is proud to say that through our collaborative approach with our teammates at Biohabitats, we were able to help our client recognize their goals.
