A vast majority of the homes that people will be living in 50 years from now have already been built. Many of these homes cannot perform to the same level as newer homes in terms of how comfortable they are, how much energy they use, and how clean the air is in the home. Building technologies are continuously improving and their are now ways to bring the benefits of new homes to existing homes. We

exist to help homeowners make these improvements, to change how they live in their homes. For some, it is making a room that is freezing in the winter more comfortable so that it is usable. For others, it is reducing how much energy it takes to heat and cool their home. Whatever the goal, Atlas home Energy is here to help homeowners take advantage of all of the opportunities for improvement that their home has. Our Team
Originally formed in 2009, our team has grown from a staff of 2 to over 40 over the years to become Maryland's Premier Home Performance company. We are the largest partner for the three (3) Maryland Electric Utilities in their Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.

Our Third Annual Gambrill Mountain Run, complete with a 10-year gap between Years 1 and 2. 😅

This year, Matt and Jorge tackled the run, while Shannon met them at the summit for a picnic with their families. Great views, great company, and a great reminder that some traditions are worth bringing back.

We’re excited to keep this tradition going and already planning to make next year’s event even bigger. Who’s joining us for Year 4?

Please, we are begging you…

Properly insulate your cantilevers to prevent drafts, improve comfort, and reduce energy costs. Using spray foam insulation actually stops air movement, unlike fiberglass insulation.

Here at Atlas, we remove the existing finishes temporarily, install spray foam insulation inside the cantilever cavities, and then put the existing finish back in place.

Here are a few key signs to look for to determine if you need duct services:

✔️ Your home is difficult to heat or cool.
✔️ There are big temperature differences between floors or rooms in your house.
✔️ There is noise coming from your ducts when the system is running.
✔️ You have allergies or asthma and suspect they are exacerbated by your ducts.
✔️ There is visible dust on the registers and behind the vent covers.
✔️ The exposed ductwork in your utility room does NOT have metal tape sealing the joints.
